Cold Chisel - The Last Wave of Summer
Cold Chisel are an Australian Institution. This was their first album
in 14 years, so it is understandable that anticipation was high. By
this point in any bands career, I don’t think you’re looking for works
of genius. What you’re looking for is songs that
when played on tour don’t make you rush for the bar/toilet. “This is
from our new album” is one of the most feared phrases at any concert.
Having said that, this is a worthy addition to the Cold Chisel
catalogue. It is a solid album – albeit without any
classic tracks on it.
