You Am I - Hourly, Daily
I think this might be a strange comparison, but Tim Rogers is a bit like
Bruce Springsteen on this album. Not in sound, but in his storytelling
ability. Hourly Daily, is a series of vignettes, kitchen sink dramas
and slices of every day Australian life that
really resonate with me. Perhaps writing about Australian life was why
You Am I were never a huge success internationally, but the quality of
their songs was certainly as good as their international contemporaries.
